Jiang Qiming's "Under the Lion Rock" pencil on paper 37 x 45 cm in 1987 Lion Rock is a famous landmark in Hong Kong, shaped like a crouching male lion. Before the opening of Hong Kong, Lion Mountain Col was an indispensable passage between Kowloon and the New Territories. At the foot of the foothills were some farmers and farmland. A large number of wooden houses began to be built in the 1950s and 1960s. The time has changed and the wooden house area has become a new type of residence. The Lion Rock can be said to have witnessed the changes in Hong Kong, especially the popular TV series "Under the Lion Rock" in the 1970s, which portrayed the general public's struggle for life at that time. Jiang Qiming portrayed the style of the Lion Rock in the 1980s in a simple style, and recorded the landmarks symbolizing Hong Kong's fighting spirit from an artistic perspective.

Jiang Qiming's "Shi Kiaowei Village (front) and Baitian Village (back)" pencil on paper, 1953, 37 x 45 cm. Many of Jiang Qiming's scenes have been swallowed by the great wheel of the times, and Shi Kiaowei is one of them. This sketch was created in 1953, just before the fire broke out in the Shijiao squatter area on Christmas Eve the same year. In the evening, residents in Baitian Village, Shijiao, burned cotton tires while igniting water lamps. Due to the poor design of the house and the use of wood, the fire spread quickly. The fire spread to many log cabin areas, more than 2,500 log cabins were burnt down, and more than 50,000 residents lost their homes. Today, Shijiaowei Village has evolved into a new generation of public housing. Jiang Qiming entered the scene with his keen tentacles, and he truly showed the scenes and objects of Shi Kiaowei more than sixty years ago. The farmer who was farming in the field was also meticulous, and the history was now visible.
