[Two Practices] YU Wen-Fu Solo Exhibition The Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art will exhibit [Two Xi-You Wenfu Solo Exhibitions] from March 28 to May 17. You Wenfu, an artist who specializes in creating natural landscape installations like natural scenery, specially produced seven works for the Taipei Contemporary Art Museum. Among them, the most spectacular outdoor installation work "Bamboo Woodworker (Building)", which lasted three months of preparation, spent 2500 man-hours, with 24 kilometers of bamboo materials, weaving combined with modern eagle structure, covered The building of the contemporary pavilion. This work is also You Wenfu's most ambitious work in his artistic career to date. This solo exhibition is named after [two exercises], based on the concept of disassembly / combination in the middle of the philology, and the name of the exhibition is conceived, and then related to You Wenfu ’s own focus on the two kinds of local media, "bamboo" and "feather" Love. Feather represents You Wenfu's pursuit of dreams, and bamboo represents his return to his hometown of Zhushan, to rethink his growing experience. In addition to the locally produced works, You Wenfu also tried the multimedia installation "Yaguchi Rihi (Person)" and the suspension installation "Yunyun (cloud)", and exhibited the new "Feather Painting" series of works "Landscape" for the first time. In the series of "Landscapes", You Wenfu merges Chinese ink landscapes and portraits of banknotes from various countries, alluding to the power changes in the struggle of the mountains and rivers. In addition to showing the creativity and ingenuity of art, these works also reflect the artist's life experience and life thinking in different periods, and show the overall structure and details of his personal art creation. You Wenfu is good at landscape installations. It has something to do with his younger flight experience as an Air Force pilot. He has long-term visual experience of bird's eye view of the magnificent landscape, or training in the clouds to be sensitive to airflow and light, or the aircraft's abnormal and dying experience All became inspiration for the creation of this exhibition. On the other hand, You Wenfu ’s growing up experience in a bamboo factory has been able to skillfully use the characteristics of natural media that change with the seasons, and design the "time" factor in space works, making the work grow like everything. Time has different styles and becomes its creative features. "Natural consciousness" is the core aesthetic of You Wenfu's creation. You Wenfu believes: "People, like wild animals, have a high degree of sensitivity to the environment when their minds are pure and undisturbed. Today, with the rapid development of technology, everything emphasizes sensory stimulation and human interaction, but people's aesthetic instincts instead It gradually disappears. "To this end, You Wenfu resorted to natural media such as bamboo and feathers to create an artistic installation or environmental landscape that people feel familiar with but also full of new ideas and imaginary spaces. , To discover and capture, including air currents, wind sounds, time, time and other misty things, to feel and experience some fleeting Jiguang film feathers and beauty messages in living spaces or natural environments. |
